Online Treatment for Food Cravings and Weight Management with EFT

by Christine Hunt

Food cravings are most likely the number one reason why people fall off the diet wagon and fail to lose weight.  It isn’t just the weight that suffers but also self esteem because the failure is taken personally and the dieter then feels like a failure.

As a Certified EFT Practitioner who works primarily with those who want to lose weight or find relief from chronic illness, I understand the connection of cravings and diet diversion. Eliminating the stress triggers that cause cravings is a large part of my focus when I work with clients who want to lose weight.  Without the cravings eating healthy meals comes easily and naturally.

Which is why I want to offer you an opportunity to participate in an 8 week online study for Food Cravings and Weight Management Using EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques or Tapping).

Dr. Peta Stapleton of Bond University in Queensland, Australia is conducting the study and has worked extensively with EFT (Tapping) in helping people lose weight.

Here is more information about it.

BUHREC Protocol Number: RO 15270

This research is being conducted to investigate whether food cravings play a role in the field of weight loss and if willpower over food cravings is important in weight loss. This study will offer an online treatment for food cravings through structured psychological techniques. Dr Stapleton is leading the study in her role within the Faculty of Society & Design, Bond University.

You will start this trial in 8 weeks time (after Easter 2016, likely mid-April)) and it will all be online. You will be asked to complete this survey here now, in 8 weeks AGAIN before you start, and at the end of the trial – as well as follow-up periods of 6- and 12-months.

The benefits of this study will include determining the most effective long-term treatment and delivery options for food cravings. When this is established it will form an invaluable component of future weight loss programs, as willpower over food cravings is often noted as a difficult issue when people try to lose weight.

You may read more about it and sign up for the study here.

To your health!
