 Can you relate to any of the scenarios below?

 You begin a new diet and are filled with confidence that this is going to be “THE ONE” that will work then eat something you shouldn’t , feel guilty and ashamed that you “broke the diet” and now can’t quite seem to generate the enthusiasm and willpower to start it up again?

Every diet you’ve tried worked for a while but then you gained all the weight back and more?  You are completely frustrated at all of the time, effort, money and emotional highs and lows that you slog through and the only results you receive is disappointment at the failure of it all.  You are desperate to find a solution but feel too much despair to try yet another diet.

Most weight loss programs focus on diet and exercise alone.  Hunt for Hope Wellness’ unique approach is different because you are different than anyone else.  We work with all of you – your thoughts, feelings and beliefs, help you to find nutritious foods that taste good to you and develop some movement in your life to balance caloric intake with caloric burn.  It is all about your unique needs – not a one size fits all program. Everyone has a different history that is a contributing cause of their weight problems.  We work at your pace and around your schedule.


We will identify how you feel about your physical body and your life overall.

How do you feel about your body image?  Do you like yourself or don’t like yourself?  Do you just not like your physical appearance or do you not like your personality or both?  We’ll develop the image of the life you dream of.  We’ll help you create your dream of an ideal physical, emotional  and spiritual life that is full of good feelings, loving family and friends and achieving your personal image goals that have been put on a back burner for so long.


We get rid of the emotional obstacles to your success that set you up for self sabotage. 

One of the main obstacles to losing weight is your feelings of guilt, shame, failure, self hatred, anger, limiting beliefs and other self condemning feelings.   We get to the root of these emotions and clear away the negativity surrounding them.


We work on your weight loss history. 

Your weight loss history has a lot to do with where you are now.  What have you done in the past?  Is weight gain a problem in your family? Is food your friend?  Do you have many friends?  How do people treat you?  How do you want to be treated?  Is there an unspoken reason why you hold on to weight?  We figure out what might be keeping you stuck and help you to move beyond the self criticism into self empowerment and success.


We address the emotional impulses behind your cravings.

What is your relationship with food?   Do you eat for flavor or for comfort?  What is missing or unfulfilling in your life and does food fill a gaping hole?  We’ll help you figure out what is lacking in your life and how to satisfy your needs in a healthy manner.


And yes, we work on what you eat (don’t think of it as a diet).

We all know that what you eat is a big part of weight gain and of weight loss.  What you will learn is why you may not feel full shortly after eating and what foods will prevent that from happening.  We will help you understand why the foods you are eating are causing your cravings so that you will be able to eat more of the right foods, feel fuller, more satisfied, take in more nutrition and never miss the comfort foods.


We get you moving.

Everyone needs to move but not necessarily exercise.  No one likes the word “exercise”.  For many it means taking hours out of their day, driving to a gym, sweating, painful muscles and a lot of effort for sometimes little or no benefit (depending on their eating habits).  If you don’t like exercising then we will find something that you enjoy doing which puts “movement” into your day.  A little bit goes a long way and is more enjoyable when you don’t think of it as “exercise”.


We help you focus on what is good in your life.

You may not believe it now but there are many things in your life that are positive.  If you can’t think of anything, that’s okay.  We’ll work on positive affirmations that will help turn how you think about yourself and others around .  The better you feel about yourself the more enthusiastic you will be about continuing on the path to ultimate happiness, optimum health, personal success, control of your life and becoming your dream YOU!

Here’s your Coach:

Christine Hunt is a Wellness Coach and Consultant and works with individuals who have tried conventional weight loss programs that have failed.  Christine has knowledge of nutrition, balanced dietary needs, and understands the emotional barriers that block progress in your weight loss journey.  This combination of addressing the thoughts and emotions as well as the body’s dietary and movement needs is a successful, powerful, three pronged approach to fixing your weight loss dilemma.

Christine is a certified EFT Practitioner.  EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) quickly neutralizes negative emotional charges caused by emotional upsets earlier in life.  EFT is painless, effective, long lasting and quickly provides relief from the subconscious chatter that holds us prisoner to our old thought patterns and beliefs.  Once the chatter and negative thoughts are neutralized you are able to create new thought patterns that better serve you.


What is the difference between therapy and coaching?

Therapy can only be conducted by a licensed, mental health professional such as a psychologist, psychiatrist or other mental health caregiver.   A coach is someone who works with you to establish what it is you want to accomplish in your life.   They assist you in determining a course of action, what steps need to be taken to reach your goals and hold you accountable to complete the steps.    Christine Hunt incorporates the benefits of EFT into your coaching sessions which helps remove the obstacles and limiting beliefs that may hinder your progress.


How long will it take before I achieve my goals?

Everyone is an individual with different histories, amounts of weight to be lost, time available for coaching sessions and a myriad of other factors that will impact their rate of progress.  Therefore, how long  depends on each person’s situation.  Christine suggests beginning with a 3-6 session commitment then continue from there.


Where are our coaching sessions held?

All sessions are done either via Skype or over the phone.   It is best to have at least the first couple of sessions  on Skype as Christine likes to see her clients, and maybe her clients would like to see her too!


When are coaching sessions scheduled?

Appointments may be made during weekdays between 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mountain Time.  If your schedule does not allow for weekday appointments there are a limited number of appointments available during the evenings or on Saturday.  Please contact Christine Hunt at huntforhopewellness@gmail.com to schedule.


How long are the coaching sessions?

The initial session is 90 minutes and is devoted to going over the information you will fill out on the Wellness Mapping 360° form.  This is so that Christine has a good understanding of what you want to accomplish, what your past history contains and where you are in your present journey.  Subsequent sessions are one hour in length.


What kind of resources are available for my use?

Like the Hunt for Hope Wellness Facebook page.  Healthy recipes and dietary tips are posted weekly.  Subscribe to the Hunt for Hope Wellness newsletter which is e-mailed twice per month.  The newsletter goes into more detail about factors that affect health in general  and may contain links to additional information.   Other resources will be available on an as needed basis according to what you may need during the course of coaching.


What is expected of me during the coaching process?

Show up and be engaged. This is your life and only action on your part will effect the changes you seek.   Clients are expected to be on time for coaching sessions.   If homework is assigned, complete it prior to the next session.  You will also be required to read and sign an Informed Consent Form which outlines general guidelines for working with your coach describing her professional services and business policies.


What results can I expect from working with Christine?

  • You will think about and take action on what you want to get done each day, not what you will eat.
