About Christine Hunt Hunt_090524_6798_Chris_web

Life is a journey.  My life is probably not much more unique than yours.

I grew up in a middle-class family, had a good education, got married, lived in a nice house, had two wonderful children, got divorced and then married a wonderful guy!

Along the way I became a bit of a “Jackie of all Trades”.  With a formal education in Horticulture and Landscape Design I began my own landscaping business.  Divorce necessitated more income and a career change and I settled on Computer Repair.  This did not satisfy my creative needs and after ten years in the industry, moved on to pursue my love of Fine Art Photography.  Then a health issue surfaced – Lupus Nephritis and potential kidney failure.  A long held belief in alternative therapies directed me to seek the guidance of a Naturopathic doctor who instructed me to adopt a vegan diet.

I’d read articles about vegan diets curing cancer but didn’t understand what it actually was.  My Doctor explained that I couldn’t eat any animal products.  I asked if I could eat cheese?  No.  How about eggs?  No.  What about fish/shellfish?  No.  My mind raced to figure out what I was going to live on and also feed my family!  I was not given any other information; no pamphlet, no book, no website – nothing.  I was on my own and had to go cold turkey.  Long story short, I began a quest to learn how I could rid my body of this degenerative disease.  My situation was unacceptable.

I am a seeker.  I thirst for information on all types of topics.  If something is wrong in my life I find a way to fix it.  I gather information from many different sources, look at all of the aspects of the situation and make decisions on what course of action to implement.  My search revealed the importance of diet as it relates to not only my disease, but many other autoimmune diseases and health issues from which so many people suffer.  Many of us are overfed and undernourished, stressed out, depressed, feel defeated, overwhelmed and alone;  ripe, fertile conditions for disease.

The more I learned the more I wanted to share the information with others so I began sending out an informal health newsletter to friends, family and anyone I knew that I thought might be interested.  As I continued to expand my knowledge of what really makes someone healthy I discovered the mind/body connection and learned of a healing modality called EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique or Tapping) which removes emotional blocks that inhibit us from effecting the changes required to live to our highest potentials.

As a result of dietary and lifestyle changes, clearing unhealthy, emotional baggage and debilitating limiting beliefs my Lupus is gone and my kidneys are functioning above normal.

I decided to turn what had become my passion into a business and founded Hunt for Hope Wellness, a coaching/consulting and EFT practice.  I help others understand why they are sick and how to return to a vibrant state of optimum wellness in body, mind and spirit and it is the best job in the world.

I help people heal.

I continue to educate myself about the multitudes of factors that affect health in order to pass the information along to you on my Facebook page and in my newsletter, so that you can make informed decisions about what will best fit your needs.
