I receive daily quotes from Neale Donald Walsch and thought I would pass this one along since it can be applied to anyone and everyone’s lives.
He who eats ’til he is sick, must fast ’til he is well.
That is a Hebrew proverb, and it has to do with a lot more than food. Look to see what behaviors you are indulging in over and over again that are clearly not serving you. Then go on a “bad habit diet”.
I mean it. I’m not kidding. Pick one bad habit, one bad behavior a day for five days. You can do this. Stop doing the stuff you’re doing that obviously does not serve you – or others.
– Neale Donald Walsch
I immediately thought of habits of thought that sabotage us which can be traced to beliefs such as –
I am worthless.
I am not good enough.
What’s wrong with me.
I have to diet and exercise to lose weight.
Just take your pick.
So, this week be aware of the negative thoughts that constantly run in your mind and consider how you can transform them into positive thoughts. Stop dwelling on what is going wrong in your life and dream more about what you want to attract into your life.
Instead think –
I have value.
I am good enough.
I am wonderful.
What other options do I have to lose weight?
Do this for one week and make note of how you feel at the end of each day and the week; and possibly what good has happened to you during the week.
Then do the same thing the next week and the week after that until the new, good habits come naturally.
